About The Training:
These classes will provide information on understanding how locators work
and best practices for using a pipe or cable locator. Topics covered include,
how a locator works, why it doesn't, operating a locator properly, confirming
locate accuracy, accessories and type of locator needed. Locators vary from the
earliest witching sticks up to and including magnetic locators and ground
penetrating radar. This session will give a brief review on the effectiveness of
each type of locator and their benefits and applications. The instructor will be
Travis Beran of Subsurface Solutions and certificates of completion can be
provided upon request.
